Apple Introducing Promo Codes to App Store

Real RacingApple is reportedly enabling promo codes for in-app purchases on iOS.

148apps reported that EA will be distributing $1.99s worth of in-game gold for Real Racing 3 via a mobile site.

Previously, use of promo codes on the App Store has been limited to app downloads, but this suggests that it will be extended to include in-app content, whether unlockable content, virtual currency or potentially even digital issues on Newsstand.
