Apple has launched a promotion to help push the App Store over the 50bn downloads mark.
Its offering a $10,000 App Store giftcard to the person who makes the 50 billionth download, and $500 to the next 50 people who make a download.
To mark the milestone, Apple has also revealed the top paid and free apps of all time – with WhatsApp and Facebook, respectively, topping each list.
