Apple is pushing for US sales bans on Samsungs Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note smartphones, as well as its Galaxy Tab 10.1 Tablet.
The proposed bans are part of a separate case to the patent infringement lawsuit Samsung lost last week, which started in February when Apple alleged that a range of Samsung products infringe on its patents – a range which has now been expanded to a total of 21.
The patents in question include Apples Data Detectors patent – the same patent which led to an import ban of HTC devices last year – as well as patents for the Slide-to-unlock Word completion, and Universal search features.
In the amended complaint, filed over the weekend, Apple said: “Rather than innovate and develop its own technology and a unique Samsung style for its smart phone and tablet computer products, Samsung has chosen to copy Apple’s technology, user interface, and innovative style in its phone, media player, and tablet computer product.”
