Apple has announced its latest press event, taking place in San Jose, on 23 October – and it looks set to be the unveiling of the rumoured iPad Mini. Apple, ever fond of the teasing pun, sent out invites just featuring the words: “Weve got a little more to show you”.
Rumours of a smaller iPad have been circling for a while now, despite Steve Jobs insistence that the iPads 10” display was the minimum size for a tablet back in 2010. Technical specifications, connectivity details, and even purported images of the device have all been leaked over the last few weeks. 
The new device is expected to have a 7.85” screen, putting it in the same category as the latest Kindle Fire, and Googles Nexus 7.
