Apple Unveils 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway

Apple has launched its 12 days of Gifts app on iOS ahead of its big annual digital giveaway starting 26 December.
The company offered free digital gifts to users in Europe, Canada and Japan last year but this is the first time US users will also be able to be part of the action. There are free songs, apps, books and movies on offer to download each day for just 24 hours. 
BlackBerry announced a similar gifting exercise, starting on 1 December for 25 days, which began with the free Angry Birds app. UK users have been able to download regionally-tailored content, including an episode of Fawlty Towers.
