Argos Brings AR to its Christmas Gift Guide

Argos has incorporated Augmented Reality functionality into its Christmas Gift Guide catalogue.

When customers scan marked pages with the Blippar app, theyll trigger a variety of content, including 3D models of the products, interactive games and, of course, Buy Now buttons linking directly to the Argos mobile site.

“We’re really excited about making Christmas wish list creation a digital experience,” said Argos digital director Bertrand Bodson. “Children used to circle what they wanted for Christmas in our Gift Guide – now they can also watch videos, play games and enter competitions. 

“Blippar enables us to build a bridge between our traditional physical publication and the digital world by springboarding users from the Gift Guide to, where they can find even more choice and Check & Reserve and transact.”
