Mobile and web audio publishing platform Audioboo is helping broadcasters monetise their content with the launch of its Advertising on Demand network.
Broadcasters will be able to offer audio adverts on any content they upload to the platform, including across HTML5 music players, audio apps, Twitter cards, Facebook embeds, media readers and iTunes.
Ads can be geo-targeted, rate limited or source targeted, depending on individual requirements, and will be sold on themes like sport, music and news.
Audioboo served 4m ads in the last month during a pilot run with KiddNation in the US, the Guardian and a number of UK regional radio stations. The company says it is aiming to serve more than 10m ads in Q1 2014. Bauer Media, Southern Cross Austereo and Decca Records have all come on board with the new ad tech platform.
Some existing content providers, including the Spectator, charge for their content on Audioboo.
