Avenged Sevenfold to Perform VR Concert

avenged sevenfold vrUniversal Music Group and Capitol Records have partnered with VRLive to launch a new virtual reality platform with a bang, using it to livestream a VR performance by multi-platinum rock band Avenged Sevenfold.

Fans around the world will be able to access the livestream using VRTGO, the new platform developed by Universal Music Group and powered by VRLives technology, which is being released on both iOS and Android.

The event will be filmed using the Nokia Ozo camera, the first purpose-built VR camera, and recorded using immersive spatial audio. 50 Samsung Gear VR headsets will be available at the event itself, to enable guests to transport themselves from the stadium seats right onto the stage.
