Theres just one week left to put your work forward and compete for one of our 2017 Effective Mobile Marketing Awards. The final deadline for entries is midnight UK time on Friday 4 August, so nows the time to showcase your best work from the past year.
Over the past few weeks, weve put the spotlight on past winning entries from Blis, Nimbletank and Future Platforms to give you some idea of the high standard of mobile-first campaigns and solutions that we’ve seen in previous years. This week, weve asked some of our judging panel of industry experts what theyre looking for in this years entries.
“Having judged the EMMAs from a time when the Year of Mobile seemed almost a fanciful dream for some passionate advocates to now, when it has become a profound part of our lives and central to many digital campaigns, I am looking forward to seeing how this translates into the nominated activations,” said Stephen Jenkins, founder and MD of Too Many Dreams.
“I hope this comes across, not just in the ever-increasing budgets dedicated to mobile, but in its central position, driving other media decisions. Im also looking forward to seeing through the BS of the inevitable hyperbolic proclamations aroudn the use of AI! Its safe to say, the Year of AI is still some way off.”
“I think mobile is threatening the very existence of advertising and marketing as brands and agencies currently know it,” said Mary Keane-Dawson, global chief executive for performance media at The Marketing Group. “This is old news to digital veterans, but believe me, there are still plenty of ad agency leaders arguing that making money out of paper and broadcast is still the lead story.
“I think clients are voting with their feet – look at the amount of mobile creative and media business that clients like Unilever and AMEX are commissioning directly with independent specialist agencies – a trend that cannot be ignored.”
With winners from last year including Politico, Levi’s, M&S, OMD, Criteo, Somo, Renault and Unilever, our awards recognise the best work from across a wide range of verticals and specialisms. Entering this year’s Awards couldn’t be easier: just register here, choose the categories you wish to compete in, and upload your entries.
The winners will be announced in a lavish ceremony on 16 November at the Grange Tower Bridge Hotel in London, in what promises to be one of the highlights of the year for the mobile marketing industry. Check out pictures from last year’s Awards Ceremony here, and video from the event here.
Dont forget – the entry deadline is midnight UK time on Friday 4 August, so enter now to avoid disappointment!
