Baby Bundle, which provides technology-based parenting solutions, has completed a $1.8m (£1.2m) seed funding round, with the money coming from a range of angel investors from across the US, UK and Asia, including Jonnie Goodwin, founder of Lepe Partners and co-founder of Founders Forum.
The funding will support the company’s international growth plans, including planned launches in Germany and the Middle East. Its initial focus is on launching a UK app in association with Mumsnet.
Founded by brothers Nick and Anthony von Christierson, the Baby Bundle app was launched in the US and Canadian App Stores in April 2014. It is designed to help parents track and record their child’s development and growth, alongside extensive parenting resources, all accessed via one mobile toolkit.
“When we launched the Baby Bundle platform in the US last year we could never have predicted the fantastic reaction from parents,” said Nick von Christierson. “Now were thrilled to be working with Mumsnet to bring BabyBundle to a brand new market.
“The seed funding is a hugely important development and we’re looking forward to working with our esteemed group of angel investors as we prepare to introduce the platform to UK audiences and then roll the Baby Bundle platform out into new global markets over the coming months.”
