Finnish company Softconnection has announced the release of its SC BackUp software. The SC BackUp application allows users to create a backup of their mobile phone contacts, calendar and short messages. It can also restore the saved data to the current or new mobile phone in a matter of seconds.
In London alone, the company says, over 60,000 mobile phones are lost in taxis every year. Often, the most valuable content on the mobile phone is the contacts, calendar and SMS data, and not surprisingly, these are the items users have the greatest desire to back-up.
SC BackUp enables mobile phone owners to saved their data to a secure Softconnection server and then retrieve it at any time to the same phone, or to another one. The application also has an automated back-up feature to back-up data on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
