Chinese internet giant Baidu has announced a collaboration with Paramount Pictures to celebrate the movie premiere of Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie, which hit theatres last Friday, Feb. 14.

Baidu users who feel the need for Sonic speed can access digital stickers and a keyboard skin on the Facemoji emoji Keyboard. Sonic will also be coming to Baidu’s other keyboard apps, Simeji (in Japan) and Baidu IME (in China) in the near future.

“We couldn’t be happier to work with Paramount on this project,” said Josh Fenn, senior marketing manager at Baidu. “Sonic is up there in the pantheon of all-time video game greats, such an iconic character. We’re super excited to bring him to our keyboard users all around the world.”
This is not the first time the two companies have worked together to promote a movie release. In 2018, the two companies collaborated for the release of the Transformers series movie, Bumblebee. In that collaboration, Baidu offered a Bumblebee AR emoji and two Bumblebee-themed Sticker Packs for its keyboards.
