Bango… 2Go

Bango has announced the launch of Bango 2Go, which it says is a simple, cost effective way for brands and content providers to launch their presence on the mobile web.
Bango has streamlined the process of launching a mobile website by combining its mobile web technology with a wide range of site development skills provided by its partners. With Bango 2Go, content providers and mainstream PC web brands – large and small – get mobile website building, hosting, traffic generation, monitoring and a global payment service. They simply visit the Bango website to get started, and Bango manages the rest.
Bangos leading partners, selected for their expertise, handle the build and hosting of the mobile websites. Traffic is generated through partnerships with mobile search providers, including Google and Yahoo! plus a range of operator search solutions. Using Bango tools, brands drive traffic from their PC websites to their mobile site. Mobile website activity is monitored with Bango Vision, which provides tracking technology that makes it simple to identify visitors, understand their browsing habits and personalise their mobile web experience. Finally, Bango supplies the mobile payment solution, giving brands that want to monetise mobile traffic the simplest way to integrate and comply with all the best billing channels world-wide.
The service costs 2,997 to set up, with monthly fees starting from 839 for hosting, and for the Bango Service, including billing, tracking, traffic, information and ongoing maintenance.
Brands recognize the power and reach of the mobile web, but have had trouble navigating the complex landscape of the mobile world,” says Bango CEO Ray Anderson. With Bango 2Go they are up-and-running in just one step By the end of 2008, twice as many people will have access to the Internet world-wide through a mobile phone than a PC. Extending on to the mobile web makes perfect sense for brands that want to reach out to their consumers.”
Bango points out that many of the worlds leading commercial mobile businesses already depend on Bango to drive millions of pounds of revenue from mobile content. These include global brands such as News Corporation, World Wrestling Entertainment, Discovery Mobile and MTV. Businesses of all sizes use Bango to engage directly with their consumers on the mobile web with smaller, niche content providers forming the long tail of businesses moving to the mobile web.
