Bank Fashion Launches Mobile Site

High street fashion chain Bank Fashion has launched a mobile-optimised website. The site has been developed by Usablenet, the developers behind the Marks & Spencer, JD Sports and John Lewis mobile sites.

“With purchases made over the mobile web set to double in the UK over the next three years, it is imperative for leading retail brands to take advantage of this powerful new way to maximize sales,” says Usablenet presidentm Nick Taylor. “By extending its core web functionality to mobile, Bank Fashion will now be able to effectively reach important customers where they spend a large amount of their time online – on their mobile phones.”

The Bank Fashion mobile site has been designed with all mobile phone users in mind rather than purely smartphone users, though smartphone owners will be able to use GPS technology to take advantage of a storefinder feature to locate their nearest Bank store.

The site features simplified navigation and larger buttons.  The retailer says the site is not only aimed at improving online sales directly from mobile devices, but is also designed to improve the shopping experience for all customers, online and on the high street.
