Barclays, InMobi and Nokia join MEFs Regional Boards

MEF EMEA and Asia have welcomed new sectors and companies from major growth markets onto their regional board after elections held at MWC last week.

Nokia’s director of global partner management, Maximilian von Schierstadtwas, will chair the EMEA region with Gertjan Rösken from Rabobank and Emma Kaye of Mira Networks as vice chairs. Colin Miles, VP of corporate marketing at mobile marketing company, InternetQ, was re-elected as MEF Asia chairman. He is joined by incumbent Neeraj Roy, CEO Hungama, and newly elected Milind Pathak of One97 Communications as vice chairs. India was a dominant market in the MEF Asia election results. In EMEA, six directors were elected to the board:

•    Pietro Catello, regional B2C director for Northern and Central EU, Russia, South Africa and APAC of NTT Docomo Group
•    Chris Davies, general counsel and head of privacy for InMobi
•    Darren Foulds, managing director for mobile banking and Barclays Pingit at Barclays Bank
•    Prins Mhlanga, managing executive of digital Media at Vodacom Group SA
•    Gertjan Rösken, CTO of My Order and senior innovation Manager Rabobank

•    Dr. Colin Yeh, group director of innovations at Ooredoo

 

The newly elected directors for the Asia chapter are:
•    Chaitanya Devalapally, associate VP of operations at IMImobile
•    Dippak Khurana, founder and CEO of Vserv.mobi
•    Ronen Mense, VP sales and business development of APAC at Massive Impact
•    Nitish Mittersain, CEO and founder of Nazara Technologies
•    Milind Pathak, global head of new business at One97 Communications
•    Marcus Tan, MD of Smaato
•    Kugan Thirunavakarasu, senior GM/ and head of product and infotainment business at Maxis Communications Berhad
