Barnes & Noble has launched its NOOK Video service in the UK for NOOK HD and NOOK HD+ tablets, after they went on sale in November.
The US book and entertainment company has established partnerships with content providers including BBC Worldwide, HBO, NBCUniversal, Sony and Warner Bros to provide films and TV shows to its customers. NOOK users in the UK can now shop for, stream and download video content.
Barnes & Noble is also the first digital retailer to offer UltraViolet titles in the UK, enabling users to integrate compatible physical DVD and Blu-ray purchases into their virtual film collection for storage in the cloud.
Content will be available on other devices soon on the launch of free Nook Video apps.
