Bartercard Goes Mobile

Business-to-business trade exchange Bartercard has launched a free iOS and Android app that enables businesses to barter for goods or services using their mobile phones.

The app allows businesses to manage their Bartercard balance or ‘trade pounds’ online, enabling them to pay other Bartercard members and process sales. Members using the app must be registered to the Bartercard trading portal.

All 35,000 Bartercard members from around the globe will be able to use the app to conduct business with each other – subject to having the right phone OS – while members seeking local suppliers will be able to localise search results or find their nearest Bartercard office.

“Businesses using the app will enjoy greater freedom and choice, with the ability to manage transactions online, meaning less time spent on administration, and more time on building their company,” says Bartercard CEO, Simon Barker.

Bartercard is the world’s largest business-to-business trade exchange, servicing over 35,000 trading members across six countries via a computerised barter network. It is currently trading over $1.3 billion in cashless transactions per annum globally.
