Hands-On Mobile, which develops connected games and applications, has announced the launch of its Best of Korea programme, which will see games from the worlds most advanced mobile gaming market fast-tracked to Europe. The Best of Korea games currently in the pipeline include the blockbuster role playing game Heroes Lore: Wind of Soltia and the quirky and addictive Sushi Mania.
South Korea has an extremely enthusiastic, dedicated and passionate gaming community and this has resulted in the most developed mobile phone game market in the world, says Eric Hobson, Hands-On President and General Manager EMEA. Hands-On Mobile wants to use its global reach to cherry-pick the best games and ensure as many people as possible have the chance to experience the exciting cutting edge games that players in Korea enjoy.
The first game to arrive in Europe under the programme is Heroes Lore: Wind of Soltia, which has been South Koreas best-selling mobile game, and which has spawned its own comic book series. Heroes Lore is an epic role playing game which immerses the Hero in a fantasy world of dungeons, deserts, lush grassland and icy tundra teeming with hundreds of monsters and magical items. Two of the leading Korean industry publications, KyungHyang Game News and MPortal, reported that Heroes Lore topped their 2006 mobile user surveys in areas of brand recognition, user experience, game quality and commercial success.
Sushi Mania will also be arriving in the UK as part of the programme. It features simple, three-button gameplay, strong and distinctive graphics and a speeding, rolling teleporting Mr. Kim sushi character, that have generated a devoted user base.
Heroes Lore: Winds of Soltia and Sushi Mania are both scheduled for launch across Europe in the second half of 2007.
