BigTime, a mobile marketing company with a focus on emerging markets, has partnered with Swazilands only telco, MTN, to deliver an SMS campaign to the whole of the networks user base.
The MTN Dlala Sibone SMS promotion tests customers knowledge of MTN products and services, offering a chance to win cash prizes. The promotion kicked off on 6 July and runs until 28 September 2011. MTN customers can register for the promotion by texting YES to a shortcode, 2011. Players then accumulate points by giving correct answers to trivia questions asked during period of the promotion.
Prizes include a weekly draw for 10,000 Swaziland Lilangeni (£895), while a final draw will award a 20,000 Lilangeni prize to one subscriber.
“The promotion is designed to stimulate and create a sophisticated mobile interaction between MTN and its customers, as a way of enhancing and strengthening the relationship with them,” says BigTime.
