Blippar Launches Create-your-own AR Campaign Platform

Blippar has launched the Blippbuilder self-service tool for companies that want to create AR content but dont have the tech skills to do it.
In a sign that augmented reality will be increasingly accessible, and scaleable, the platform enables content creators to add an interactive layer over a static image or object in just a few clicks.
Using the drag-and-drop desktop interface, users can choose from a choice of animation options, incuding fade, slide and hover, plus set the distance required between the handset and the original image. The solution can be used to animate things like print ads and physical products, adding features like web-linking, opinion polling, social sharing, music, videos and image galleries.
The solution also has an analytics dashboard for measuring the effectiveness of the AR campaign. There is a monthly license fee according to user type, number of users and usage volume. To date, the platform was only on offer to a limited number of pubishers, with users including Match of the Day magazine and The Sunday Times.
As with typical Blippar campaigns, the consumer simply needs the Blippar app to get blipping.
