Pitch is an ad-funded mobile entertainment company, which gives consumers access to an interactive mobile entertainment community, including mobile instant messaging, unlimited photo and video uploading to share among friends over mobile, and access to free mobile content including ringtones, games and graphics.
Pitch users opt in to receive mobile advertising from leading brands linked to their personal profile and interests, and in return are given free access to the service. Through its Marketing Services division, Pitch works with leading brands to help them design, develop and evaluate mobile marketing campaigns. Pitch then deploys advertising campaigns across the Pitch network direct to consumers mobiles.
“This is great news for Pitch says de Beer. To attract someone with such experience and drive is a testament to our vision for the business and the emergence of mobile as an established media channel.”
