Brainshark Announces Host of Enhancements

Brainshark has announced a raft of new features for its mobile video presentations apps and services.

The improvements are for the companys Brainshark Enhanced Mobile enterprise solution, as well as for the iOS app. The company also offers a new Flash-based mobile player.

Brainshark gives users the ability to create mobile video presentations. Users can add features such as a voiceover, video clips, slide shows and interactivity using the companys tools.

The Brainshark Enhanced Mobile Module now offers enhanced mobile reporting features that allow users to track total viewing time for presentations and also allows for click-path tracking.

And, in the second quarter of this year, the Enhanced Mobile Module will offer support for interactive poll, survey, and exam questions, as well as support for mLearning, allowing course-by-course reporting on completion criteria and integration with learning management systems.

The companys new Flash-based mobile player allows users on devices that support Flash (such as Android, Palm, and webOS devices) to view Brainshark content with greater interactivity features, as well as onscreen navigation and playback controls.

Finally, Brainsharks iOS app has been updated to version 1.1. The update sees an updated design, an in-app viewing experience, and a higher content refresh-rate.

“With the explosion of smartphones, tablets and continued improvements in wireless broadband networks, we are seeing massive acceleration in the deployment of enterprise applications,” said Mark Lowenstein, managing director of Mobile Ecosystem and veteran mobile industry analyst. “Brainshark is an excellent example of a company that is delivering a complete mobile solution to its customers – across multiple screens and operating systems, and with full feature support and an intuitive UI.”
