BrandAlley Aims to Double Mobile Sales with Optimised Site

Online fashion retailer BrandAlley has launched a mobile-optimised site, as part of its aim to double its mobile sales figures for 2012. BrandAlley is targeting mCommerce to make up 10 per cent of all revenue in the next year through the mobile site, which was built by Usablenet.

“Recent consumer research commissioned by BrandAlley clearly demonstrates more people are researching and shopping via their smart phones or tablet,” says marketing and PR director Melissa Littler. “We found that 40 per cent of shoppers have already bought products via a mobile device. With online access via mobile forecast to outgrow computers in 2014, were ready and able to take advantage of this. We plan for mobile to be critical to our future growth.”

BrandAlley, which specialises in private flash sales, has over gained 2.5m members since it launched in 2008.
