Brazilian Juice Brand Do Bem Launches Wearable Activity Tracker

maquina_foto_headerThe past six months has seen a wide range of companies stepping into the wearable technology space, but its still a surprise to see a wearable launch from a company better known for making fruit juice.

Thats exactly whats happening with Do Bem, a Brazilian juice brand. Working with digital agency Huge, it has launched the Do Bem Maquina in the country.

The Maquina is an activity tracker smartband for monitoring the wearers steps and sleep patterns, which displays their current activity level using a coloured LED light and syncs with mobile devices via Bluetooth.

The devices main point of differentation – aside from its unusual branding – is the price of $100 (£60), intended to make it more appealing to the Brazilian market than other existing fitness trackers.
