BrightMove Bringing Geo-located Digital Advertising to London Cabs

BrightMove Media has passed the final stage accreditation for its TaxiCast system, digital advertising mounted on Londons black cabs, and is set to launch it in the spring.
The roof-mounted LED screens will display geo-located and time-specific ad content, using built-in GPS, meaning campaigns can be geo-fenced to specific areas.
BrightMove Media says it is in talks with TfL (Transport for London) to broadcast travel updates and safety announcements through the system.
“We have spent a considerable amount of time working with TfL and Transport Research Laboratory to set the standard for roof mounted digital taxi advertising as the first company to bring this innovative service to the London market,” said BrightMove chief executive Piers Mummery. “It’s a fantastic way to way to reach Londoners and ensure the legacy of our iconic black cabs whilst bringing them into the 21st century.”
