BT Takes MVNO to EEs 4G Network

BT has signed a deal with EE to provide the network infrastructure for its MVNO, ending a nine-year deal with Vodafone.

At least as it stands, this doesnt appear to be the comeback rumoured for BT in the consumer mobile market. The MVNO just covers the companys staffs and corporate customers and it looks like it will stay that way. According to BTs statement, its mobile offering to consumers remains “a strong wi-fi presence that it plans to build on”.

The reason behind the move is presumably EEs more established 4G network, which has nearly a year – and over 100 cities – on Vodafones offering.
