Apple is rumoured to be working on a budget version of the iPhone.
First case manufacturer Tactus leaked images and details of the device, which will apparently have a polycarbonate plastic shell. The handset is rumoured to be available in a variety of colours – red, blue, green and yellow, to be specific – as seen in a series of images posted by Twitter user Sony Dickson.
If true, this would be a sensible move for Apple, given the growing lead Android has gained from the burgeoning number of entry-level handsets – but its also not necessarily a clean fit with the Apple brand, which has always seen its products priced above the competition. Previous rumours have been quashed by Apple for pretty much exactly this reason, but the current wave of evidence is fairly convincing.
Whether the rumours come to fruition, though, only time will tell.
