[img_assist|nid=10421|title=|desc=|link=popup|align=left|width=121|height=150]An explosion of businesses buying tablet devices like the Apple iPad will fuel the business application revolution. So says Mark Mason, CEO of app developer, Mubaloo.

The company commissioned a survey of 1,641 companies, carried out by ChangeWave, and found that 7 per cent of businesses were equipping staff with tablet devices, with the iPad being the most popular. The study also revealed that 14 per cent of businesses are planning to purchase tablet devices in the first quarter of 2011.

“Many companies already provide smartphones to all of their employees, across the enterprise, with apps that will do everything from improving employee collaboration, extending their brands, to simplifying business processes, says Mason. “Tablet devices are the next step and allow individual business apps even greater functionality.”?

Mubaloo builds smartphone and tablet apps for companies. The company’s clients include AXA Insurance, The AA, William Hill, Samsung, Carphone Warehouse, Experian, Lovefilm and Heineken.
