Camden Crawl Takes BT Music award

The Red Stripe Camden Crawl picked up the award for Best Mobile Campaign at the BT Digital Music Awards 2008 earlier this week.
The
Crawl is a well-established live music event, playing host to some 130
artists across 25 venues, with around 10,000 music fans attending. This
years event took place on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 April. Mobile
agency Que Pasa planned,
created and delivered a mobile strategy for the event, which delivered
live text recommendations of venues to visit through the night to those
attending.
Other award-winners included Kylie, for Best Pop Artist  and Best Innovation for the Kylie Konnect  website; Coldplay (Best Rock/Indie Artist and Best Official Music Website for Coldplay.com); Radiohead (Artist of the Year); The Zutons (Best Video Podcast); and Vampire Weekend (Best Breakthrough Artist).
A blog
created by Oasis fan Louise Davies took the award for Best Music Blog,
and  Peter Gabriels free, legal download service, We7, was named Best
Digital Service.
Highlights of the event, which included live
performances from Sugababes, British Sea Power and Beardyman, will be
broadcast this Saturday on ITV2 at 11.15pm.
