Capital One Tempts Customers onto Mobile with Prizes

Banking and credit company Capital One has launched a sweepstake campaign in the US to encourage customers to use its mobile and online apps.
Daily sweepstakes offer the chance to win an iPad every day until 6 January, with all entrants entered into a grand draw to win a Chevy Volt, plus an additional $5,000. Customers can enter every day by logging onto Capital Ones mobile banking application – which is available for iPhone, iPod touch and Android – or logging on through a mobile web-based online account.
“Were really excited about bringing more and more digital and mobile services to our customers,” says Tom Poole, managing VP of mobile emerging channels. “Over the course of this year, weve seen our online and mobile app usage grow by more than 450 per cent. This Sweepstake allows us to engage with our customers in a fun way and encourage them to try our online and mobile banking apps and really experience the value of banking in this new and exciting digital channel.”
