Cardmobili Partners with Dutch Loyalty Card Firm

Mobile loyalty company Cardmobili has partnered with Dutch personalised plastic card company Cards Unlimited. The deal makes the Dutch company Cardmobilis Dutch development partner.

Cards Unlimited, based near Amsterdam, runs a business that produces and mails personalised plastic cards for the loyalty, gift and banking markets. This new partnership will unite Cardmobilis cloud-based services and cross-platform smartphone loyalty apps with Cards Unlimiteds coverage of the Dutch market, which spreads to around 25m cards per year.

Helena Leite, CEO of Cardmobili, says: “Cards Unlimited represents an ideal and very natural partner for us. The company has excellent reach into numerous major brands in the Netherlands market, including Dixons, Hunkemöller Europe and M&S Mode, and an unequalled insight into the requirements of Dutch merchants.”

Patrick van Etten of Cards Unlimited says the partnership strengthens his companys position in the loyalty card market. “It enables us to offer physical plastic cards for customers that prefer that route, and at the same time to develop the new cards-on-your-mobile market swiftly and efficiently,” he says. “We therefore ensure our business covers both angles – maintaining our traditional physical card market on one hand, while on the other, we can capitalise on the growth area of mobile loyalty and membership services.”
