Voice-encryption company Cellcrypt has announced a voice-encryption app for the iOS platform. 

Called Cellcrypt Mobile for iPhone, the app works for calls made over wi-fi, GSM, CDMA and satellite networks. It supports iOS 4 on the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4, and is interoperable with Cellcrypt running on other devices such as Nokia, Android, and BlackBerry smartphones. 

“The introduction of Cellcrypt Mobile for iPhone further strengthens Cellcrypts market leadership position,” says Cellcrypt CEO, Richard Greco. “The performance of Cellcrypts application for iPhone is very impressive. In trials, customers are reporting international calling with near-perfect voice quality and latency better than landline calling. Recently, an elite military communications unit made a call over a portable satellite terminal using Cellcrypt Mobile for iPhone and were so impressed that they immediately ordered a full-scale operational evaluation.”

The app is available now from the App Store. Its free to download, but requires a service licence to work.
