Cellufun Passes Download Milestone

Social gaming community portal Cellufun has exceeded a download milestone of three million worldwide for its mobile games, as it experiences what it describes as explosive growth.
The company, which provides real-time, multi-player games for current and next-generation mobile phones, has recorded an average monthly increase of 250,000 downloads since December 2006, and is witnessing 50% growth per quarter. Traffic to its online gaming portal, portal, and to its WAP portal,  now stands at 2 million unique visitors per month. In December, Cellufun registered 10 million page views, rising to 15 million in March 2007.
While Cellufuns social gaming community is 80% English-speaking, the site already supports seven additional languages, including Spanish, French and Russian. Plans are underway to add more languages as user numbers grow. Gamers in the US, South Africa and India are the communitys most active users, with the average player downloading one to two games each visit.
Cellufun says its casual, multi-player games appeal to a wide international audience of all ages, with games downloaded by players in more than 130 countries via 170 carriers. Some single-player games are ad-sponsored, offering consumers free access to the games.
Cellufuns most popular mobile games include MobilePets, followed by Sudoku and Chess. The majority of Cellfuns gaming community downloads to the handsets of three top manufacturers, with 35% to Nokia, 22% to Motorola and 13% to Samsung.
Were seeing mobile gaming consumers participating in more dynamic, challenging games with other members of the community, says Cellufun CEO Arthur Goikhman. Because we offer a variety of titles to suit varied tastes, our community attracts all ages, abilities and nationalities, creating a powerful demographic base for the advertisers that help keep the gaming experience free for consumers.
