The Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) has appointed Marcio Chaer as managing director for MMA LATAM (Latin America.)
Chaer has more than 10 years’ experience in advertising, marketing, multimedia and telecommunication value-added services. In his new role, he will focus on the education of agencies and brands, and look to provide clear understanding of mobile marketing benefits, metrics and consumer privacy best practices.
The MMA says his priority will be to acquire more MMA LATAM members through actions that add value for the entire mobile marketing ecosystem. He also hopes to increase MMA operations in Latin America, which opened a Local Council in Argentina earlier this year.
Chaer says: “It is with satisfaction that I take on this position to help grow the organization and the mobile marketing industry. The organization has recently signed eight new Global Premium Members and has achieved success with its MMA Forum in New York with more than 950 attendees and 115 speakers.
“I invite all of our members and other mobile marketing companies, to be increasingly engaged with the MMA. I am sure that mobile marketing will follow the same trajectory as the web when it 10 ten years ago, but at a much higher rate. The MMA will show how mobility can improve revenues and add value to companies, as an integral part of the brand marketing mix.”
