Digital ad agency Cheil London has teamed with specialist healthcare agency Wethepeople London for a joint venture dedicated to servicing global and local healthcare and pharmaceutical clients.
Cheil Health will be headed up by Cat Davis, chief group officer for the UK and Europe at Cheil, and John Perkins, managing partner at Wethepeople London, who will run the operationg alongside their current roles.
The new service will be fully integrated with Cheil's main operations, and will offer clients bespoke teams of varying disciplines from both companies in order to guarantee expertise.
The venture's first client is startup Map My Gut, a tool that enables health professionals to understand the microbial population of a person's intestinal tract in order to provide nutritional and health advice, and help diagnose and treat a variety of conditions from allergies and diabetes to irritable bowel syndrome and autoimmune diseases.
The company plans to rapidly expand this year with a consumer app and product range, and plans to use Cheil Health to create a marketing strategy that will lead to success.
"Cheil Health will provide transformation experiences by combining technology and creativity in this exciting and growing sector," said Paul Hammersley, UK group chief executive for Cheil London.
