Chelsea Apps Factory Expands

Apps consultancy and developer Chelsea Apps Factory has made three senior hires, to support the company’s plans for expansion in the enterprise apps space. Mike Altendorf – founder of consultancy Conchango, which was sold for £45m in 2008, to EMC – has been appointed as non-executive director, where he will support the company on strategy and driving business growth.

Josh Hart has been hired as head of innovation, a role which will see him researching emerging technologies and securing partnerships with their providers, to be incorporated into future projects.

Finally, appointed to oversee development of apps and new technologies for the company, Nir Ozeri has been named as CTO. Ozeri joins from One Network Enterprises, where he worked with clients including Argos, Fujitsu and the Ministry of Defence.

Chelsea Apps Factory was founded in 2010 by Mike Anderson, former digital director at News International and MD of The Evening Standard and Metro newspapers.

“When I set up Chelsea Apps Factory my ambition was to professionalise the apps industry and bring order to the disorder,” says Anderson. “Our people are the key to our success; they embody the fresh, entrepreneurial and exciting culture you find here at the Factory. I’m excited to be bringing Altendorf, Hart and Ozeri on board to help the company grow in this next phase of development as we continue to deliver great apps for the companies we work with.”
