Its a Bank Holiday here in the UK today, so the Mobile Marketing team will (hopefully) be out enjoying the British sunshine.
Normal service will be resumed tomorrow, but in the meantime, weve gathered together a few of the highlights from the last week here on the site for your enjoyment:
An InMobi report showed that mobile has surpassed TV and desktop to become the top media in the UK by time spend – at least, among mobile web users.
We shone a spotlight on Numbrs, the personal finance app start-up thats just landed $7.7m (£5.1m) of investment, and spoke with CEO and co-founder Julien Arnold about how it intends to make money out of mobile money.
Metro launched its mobile casino platform, Metro Play, with a £1.9m advertising campaign – and followed up the launch with the announcement that its monthly mobile traffic had passed the 4m mark.
Swiss-army-knife-esque OTT messaging app MessageMe came to our attention as it garnered 5m downloads in just 75 days. Packed with features – it can send everything from video to doodles, music to money – the app looks set to become the first major competitor to WhatsApps dominance in the West.
Finally, sit back and enjoy our video report from Clear Channels Playground lab, where it showcases and prototypes its latest outdoor advertising technology.
