Comvia Wins AfricaCOM Award

Comviva has picked up the award for Best New Service for its Mobile Data Platform at the AfricaCOM Awards 2010. The awards recognize outstanding achievements in the telecom space across the markets of Africa.

Comviva’s Mobile Data Platform enables mobile service providers to handle the growing mobile data challenge – of growing user expectations and rapidly rising data volumes but disproportionate revenue growth. It uses optimization, data management and monetization techniques to enhance the user experience and stimulate revenue growth, whilst realizing bandwidth and capex savings of over 40 per cent, based on results from multiple operator deployments across three continents.

“It is wonderful to be acknowledged for our achievements at (the) AfricaCOM Awards, says Comviva CEO, Manoranjan Mohapatra. “The awards are an inspiration to Comviva to continue bringing relevant solutions to the markets of Africa and strive further to innovate in the solutions and business models we develop. This is also an opportunity to acknowledge the fruitful partnerships we have developed with telecom players in 34 countries across Africa – our customers have been tremendous partners for Comviva.”
