Consumers Are Installing 2.3 Apps Every Month

Its become accepted knowledge that smartphone owners very rarely download new apps, with a 2014 comScore report suggesting that the standard American smartphone owner averages zero app downloads a month. However, new data from Tune suggests that number is wrong, with the average person in fact installing 2.3 apps each month.
On top of those figures, research suggests that nearly half of consumers prefer to use an app instead of the internet, with only 17 per cent preferring a mobile site over an app. Despite these figures, though, one in five apps are installed and never used.
