Crystal Palace Scores with Mobile Cloud-based Training

PFCrystal Palace FC is to make use of an innovative mobile cloud-sharing app in order to help players prepare for matches and enable coaching staff to monitor how players are digesting information.

The Pushfor app enables the clubs coaching staff to send players confidential information to help with their performance, most commonly video but also images and text. This information is sent our before and after matches with the aim of improving training and monitoring specific opposition behaviour.

The app gives Crystal Palaces performance analysts full control over the content players receive, with analytics tools letting them tell when videos are being views. The app can also send self-expiring content, recall shared videos and set limits on how many times files can be accessed, ensuring security for these crucial tactical notes.

Performance analysis has become an essential part of high-level sports, with every Premier League club employing analytics staff and software. Prior to using Pushfor, Crystal Palace relied upon team meetings and DVDs which were distributed among players. Now, both coaching staff and players have a more efficient and secure method of improving performance.

Pushfor has become a fail-safe tool for us and vital part of our working week,” said Liam Sweeting, senior performance analyst at Crystal Palace FC. “Players are using Pushfor in their own unique way, to suit their individual needs; some are known to watch videos in the comfort of their home, while others use it right before a match.”

“Football is becoming smarter and data performance analysis has paved the way for a statistics-driven approach to most areas of sports,” said John Safa, co-founder of Pushfor. “The way players receive information must match this revolution.

Pushfor helps Crystal Palace provide the right content to the right players at the right time, allowing them to focus on their improvements in private.”
