Cubic Telecom Offers iPass Wi-Fi Roaming

Roaming services company Cubic has agreed a deal with wi-fi provider iPass that will enable its customers to access more than 680,000 hotspots in 117 countries as they roam using the Maxroam data and voice roaming service.

The deal allows Cubic Telecom to combine its GSM international voice calls service with international roaming services.

“By integrating iPass 680,000 hotspots onto the Cubic Telecom platform, we are expanding our capability of accessing multiple 3G and CDMA carrier technologies by now adding wi-fi access all through one wallet and one point of contact – the Cubic Telecom SIM card,” says Barry Napier, Cubic CEO. “Consumer appetite for mobile data services and always on connectivity has been increasing significantly, particularly for business travellers. By partnering with iPass we will be able to give our customers global access to wi-fi giving them even higher data speeds and availability without worrying about bill-shock and enormous fees.”
