Cumberland Building Society Launches Mobile Payment App

The Cumberland Building Society has launched Pay2Mobile, a mobile payment app for iOS and Android, which enables its members to transfer money to other Cumberland Building Society account holders.
To receive the money, the person just has to register their mobile number to their internet banking account. There is a daily payment limit of £250 per customer and a minimum transaction value of £1.
The app also offer users a balance peek feature, where they can peek at their balance without having to log in. 
Cumberland, voted the best personal current account provider in the national Current Account Switching Scorecard, is the first building society to launch a mobile payments service and will be a launch participant of the UK Payments Council’s national mobile payments service, due to go live this spring.
