David Beckham joins the celebration in a thrilling new digital campaign from After Party Studios, created for EA SPORTS FC in partnership with COPA90.

The content marks the 16th anniversary of Football Ultimate Team and will be featured across EA’s digital channels.

The brand film opens with Emmy-nominated actor Toheeb Jimoh, known for his role as Sam Obisanya in Ted Lasso, carefully crafting and decorating a giant cake to honor the milestone. Just as the cake is completed, it is blown to bits, with Beckham entering the scene to share his cheeky take on the explosive moment.

Directed by Edie Amos, who has collaborated with artists like Stormzy, Coldplay, and Little Simz, the film showcases a 20kg cake that took food stylists three days to create. The team worked with SFX experts to safely pack the cake with dynamite, capturing the explosion in super slow motion, which lasted less than a second in real time.
