Debenhams Rolls Out In-store Kiosks

Mobile commerce solutions firm NN4M has designed and built an in-store kiosk application for UK high street retailer, Debenhams.

Branded ‘Debenhams Extra’, the internet-enabled touch-screen kiosks will be rolled out across the UK, and give customers access to the retailer’s full product range while in store.

Having designed and unveiled mobile apps for the retailer across the 3 major platforms – iOS, Nokia and Android – together with Debenhams’ Beauty Club iPhone app earlier this year, NN4M was tasked with developing the in-store kiosks to further increase the retailer’s points of engagement with its customers.

“The in-store kiosks are really fantastic, offering a mobile experience in store, while bringing customer service into the digital age,” says NN4M director, Lorraine Howard. “People are now able to find out about the entire product range from within the store, use the barcode scanner for further product details or to order clothes in different colours or sizes, and ultimately make purchases as and when they wish from whichever touch point they choose.”
