deCarta (formerly Telcontar), which supplies software and services for the Location-Based Services (LBS) industry, has announced its first European Developer Seminar. The event will be held on Monday 30 October at Chelsea Football Stadium Business Centre in London.
Designed following feedback from deCartas US Developer Conference held in San Francisco, the European seminar is a one-day event offering technical, professional and business people insights into new technology, business issues and customer experiences of the location-based application market. There is no charge to attend the seminar.
The event is aimed specifically at application developers and executives from Internet, mobile and telematics industries who are designing, deploying and marketing location-based applications. deCarta says the seminar will help attendees make strategic development decisions by providing in-depth information about LBS market trends and emerging technologies from the company and its partners. The event also includes a tour of the Chelsea Stadium.
Seminar attendees will meet key members of deCartas European team, technology partners, and outside industry experts. deCarta will provide attendees with a programme of technology and business sessions focusing on current challenges, trends and opportunities. The sessions include customer experiences, industry comment and the chance to learn more about deCartas technology and products.
The afternoon workshops will have more of a technology focused, specifically covering AJAX frameworks, using deCartas JavaScript API/DevZone, designing custom maps with Drill Down Server and getting the most from DeCartas Hosted Web Services.
