Deutsche Telekom is providing M2M resources and access to the wireless industry as part of a Canadian project to develop the M2M market in North America. Canada’s Wavefront accelerator, a not-for-profit, will offer educational seminars, testing opportunities, advisory services and global market connections to interested start-ups and small businesses.
“In the future we will see an M2M solution for nearly every need just like today we have an app for every purpose. To accelerate the development in this market we have to tap into and promote the creative potential of small companies and start-ups now,” says Jürgen Hase, Head of Deutsche Telekom’s M2M Competence Center.
Wavefront President and CEO James Maynard said: “M2M is one of the fastest growing areas in the global wireless ecosystem. This partnership will facilitate a valuable new connection point between Canada’s wireless talent and Deutsche Telekom’s extensive technical knowledge, commercial capabilities and international reach.”
The programme, which will start in February, has been launched by the Canadian Centre of Excellence for Wireless Commercialisation and Research.
