Dialogue Creates Mobile Site for Dolby Surround Campaign

Mobile solutions and messaging firm Dialogue Communications has created a mobile microsite for surround sound specialist Dolby for its Dolby Mobile campaign. The campaign enables people with Dolby Mobile-equipped handsets from LG and Acer in the UK to experience surround sound on a mobile phone.

The site offers users access to a series of downloadable sample video and sound files that let them experience surround sound on their handset. Those impressed with the quality of the clips can download further sample files and view the latest Dolby Mobile-enabled handsets, including the LG Chocolate BL40 and the Acer Stream.

“(This) has been an exciting project to work on,” says Dialogue managing director, Guillaume Peersman. “Dolby Mobile will change the expectations of people wanting to listen to music and watch movies and video on a mobile phone now and in the future. The new Dolby Mobile-equipped phones offer exceptional surround sound quality never before seen on handsets and it’s only when you listen to the free downloads through the mobile site we have developed that the difference is truly apparent.”

Mobile users are directed to the Dolby mobile site via the main Dolby website, which invites the user to text a keyword to a shortcode to get a text with a link to the mobile site.

“What Dialogue has created for us is a fully-interactive, simple to use and accessible site,” says Paul Thorley, Dolby’s senior manager of internet marketing for EMEA. “We expect major customer demand for the new Dolby Mobile-equipped devices and hope the site will enable us to further demonstrate to potential buyers the exceptional quality now on offer through our mobile technology.”
