The Griff Innovation Award, presented at the Vodafone Aggregator Forum in London, has been won by mobile marketing firm Dialogue Communications. The award, which is named in recognition of Dialogues late managing director Paul Griffiths, recognised the companys achievement in introducing the first Payforit solution for the web.
Dialogue has provided the Online Payforit service to several companies to enable consumers to buy event tickets online, and to charities, in conjunction with BT agilemedia to facilitate the payment of online donations. Both these solutions were demonstrated at the Vodafone Aggregator Forum, showing how Online Payforit can be used for specific applications.
Dialogue was the first company to take Payforit live in January 2007, when it was used predominantly by mobile content providers to sell content via the mobile web. 18 months on, with the recent increase of the maximum single transaction to 10, Dialogue says it looks set to become a popular payment mechanism both online and via mobile.
Dialogue has been a leader in the development of Payforit from the very beginning and taking the initiative online is another significant step, which we are very happy Vodafone has recognised, says Dialogue UK Managing Director, Guiom Peersman. We are also extremely honoured to be receiving the Griff Innovation Award in particular, recognising our continued work to build on Pauls significant legacy and the work he began here at Dialogue.
