digame Powers Mobile Eurovision Voting

Azerbaijan may have won the Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday, but without German company digame there would have been no public vote.

The company provided the mobile voting and micropayments system that allowed European telly-watchers to vote in their millions for their favourite songs on the night of the final.

digame has been involved in the Eurovision Song Contest since 2004, and its system records  and counts the votes in the largest televote event in Europe.

This year, the company also deployed a mobile payment system that allowed subscribers to almost 200 network operators in 43 countries to engage with the public vote via their mobile device, and pay for their vote on their phone bill.

The company is also behind voting and payment systems for Who Wants to be a Millionaire, and several German format shows.
