Dilithium Networks, which specializes in high-quality multimedia delivery over mobile and broadband networks, has announced the launch of ViVAS Flash to empower mobile operators to deliver two-way video calling services between web browsers and 3G mobile devices. With ViVAS Flash, says Dilithium, carriers can deploy value-added video services across converged networks to satisfy growing consumer demand for high quality communications experiences on any device over any network. The solution is available now.
Dilithium notes that telcos all over the world have deployed video services based on its ViVAS platform, that provides reliable, real-time streaming of video content to and from mobile wireless devices, broadband and SIP clients. With the ViVAS Flash add-on module, carriers can now easily expand their services to offer subscribers branded video communications from either their PC or mobile device.
ViVAS Flash-powered video requires nothing to get started besides a web or mobile browser. It uses Adobe Flash, which is installed on over 98% of Internet-enabled desktops and a wide range of mobile devices.
Dilithium says a number of companies have already implemented the ViVAS Flash solution to offer a variety of services including bi-directional web browser to 3G mobile video calls, and web-based video services, including conferencing and surveillance.
“As 3G mobile customers demand more sophisticated communication applications, operators and service providers must innovate in order to attract new subscribers, reduce churn and drive greater revenue,” says Dilithium CEO, Paul Zuber. “Dilithiums ViVAS Flash will help them meet this pent-up demand, delivering unique, high quality video services to whatever Internet-connected device the consumer prefers.”
